Glyn Jones has missed the point completely regarding the decision to build on the Front Garden.

I am a Swindonian born and bred, and having lived in the town for 46 years in the Westcott Place area. I wonder how many of the councillors that were concerned in making such a profound decision for future generations can say the same.

Mr Jones may or may not be a Swindonian, but I would like to tell him that I can remember being able to walk along Wootton Bassett Road, and under the railway bridge and be out in the countryside.

Today it is concrete wherever one looks.

I am not a member of FRAG, and cannot be labelled a NIMBY because I don't live near the Front Garden, but I support Terry King for the sake of my three-year-old son, who may never be able to take a walk out into the countryside, as his parents have enjoyed doing for years.

Look around you, Mr Jones, and tell me if you are really serious about turning the last remaining bits of countryside into concrete for future generations to abhor.

Swindon has been pillaged by people coming to the town who have no interest in its history whatsoever, and unfortunately this process is continuing by way of decisions made by an idiot council made up of mostly outside aliens to the town, who really don't care.

Be it Terry King, or Satan himself, he would have my support against this selfish, insane decision.
