NEWSQUEST Wiltshire are doing their bit to put old friends and long-lost family members back in touch with each other through the ThisIsWiltshire website.
Where Are They Now? works on a very simple principle, listing messages from people who are searching for someone and providing them with the e-mail addresses to renew old acquaintances.
The section carries messages from all over the world. The examples, right, are just a small selection of those on the site.
The following are among those searching for friends and family:
I have been living in the USA since 1987. I just wanted to see if I could find anyone from my school days. I grew up in Swindon Wiltshire. Went to Ferndale schools and then Hreod Burna. I was born in 1963, finished school in 1980. I actually met Sadie Clutterbug by accident when I lived in NY and was wondering if anyone else was still around and what they are doing. Still have space in my heart for Hazel North if she is around.

I would dearly love to trace two old friends from the mid-1960s. We used to play in a local band together, The Xeroes. Any information about Peter Juggins and his sister Beverley Gail, would be much appreciated.

After 40years in Swindon, I moved to USA in 1985, and since then I have lost contact with most of my friends. If anyone on-line knows me I would love to hear from you , and maybe converse via e-mail, or even voice chat. I have a daughter Selena who lives in Crewe, who would love to hear from her friends.

I am trying to track down anyone who worked for Vicars Armstrong at South Marston in the 1960's in 3 shop. I was an Aircraft Electrician, and I would like to contact any Electricians or the whereabouts of them, or anyone else who worked in 3 shop. I can be contacted on e-mail.
