The website of Britain's first virtual village is being inundated with hits from worldwide web users.
Earlier this year, the Evening Advertiser revealed that Aldbourne was advertising www.aldbourne.org.uk on road signs there.
Since then, there have been more than 2,000 hits from new users, plus at least 950 from people who have visited the site before.
The site was set up by the parish council.
Its chairman, Chris Humphries, said: "We set up the website to promote the village. It is purely an information medium and is a community-run thing and not a business venture.
"It contains a history of the village with pictures and a who's who and what's what in Aldbourne. It went live in time for the 21st Century."
Aldbourne is the first village in the country to have a website featured on its road signs.
