ELDENE residents have met with council officers in an effort to resolve a parking row.
The borough council's planning and transportation department arranged a public exhibition at Eldene Community Centre following more than two years of complaints from residents.
Many claim they can no longer park outside their homes because the road is used by workers from a near-by office. The exhibition gave details of a proposed free residents parking scheme.
Residents from Bowleymead, Stubsmead and Collingsmead would be issued with permits making it illegal for anyone else to park in the restricted area.
The plans also include introducing a two hour stay limit to Eldene car park.
