Minors League: In a nine-goal thriller Shrivenham and Watchfield Royals under 13's side shaded the honours and gained their first win of the season by beating Wootton Bassett 5-4.
Both teams played attacking football through out the match in what was a positive advert for youth football. The Shrivenham goal scorers were Wilde, Head, Hammonds, Brown and Baxter.
Shaw maintained their 100% record with a 8-3 win against second-placed Stratton. The scorers for Shaw were Clarke (5) , Meecham (2) and Rivers.
In the under 11 A league Westbrook maintained their 100% record with a 4-0 victory against Highworth Jnrs with goals from Grier (2) , Dean and Wood.
Despite a brave performance from Shrivenham and Watchfield with both Williams and Dalin striking the woodwork, Liden eventually ran out winners 3-0 with goals from Lovell (2), and Hunt. Stratton Jnrs moved in to second place following their 5-0 win over a battling Eastville boys. Stratton's goals came from Kevil, Glover , Kate, Siers and an own goal. A last minute goal from Greenmeadow gave them all three points, beating Lydiard 5-4 in what was a pulsating game of football from both sides.
In the under 11 B league first played second as Stratton Cirencester and Ferndale fought out a 2-2 draw. Kemp and Peare scored for Cirencester, with Grant and Henshaw the Ferndale goal scorers. Malmesbury continued their good form with a 6-0 win away to Shaw while Wroughton fought back from 3-1 down to beat Croft 8-4 in a pulsating match. The Wroughton goals were scored by Shaw (3), May (3), Garaway and Hiscock. Jackson, Robins, Elliot and Read replied for Croft. A fighting performance from Blunsdon Colts could not prevent Ramsbury running out winners 5-0 in the league's remaining game.
A fine performance by Stratton Jnrs in the under 12's league produced a surprise result with Stratton beating second-placed Ferndale Rodbourne 3-1 with goals from Cowley, Little and Hall.
A close game at Shaw saw the home side edge out an improving Malmesbury side 2-1. Shaw's goals coming from Lelliot (2). Malmesbury replied through Done.
In the eagerly-awaiting match between Wroughton and Mitel the honours went to Wroughton who won 2-1 in an entertaining game.
Highworth beat a spirited Stratton Cirencester side 6-2 with goals from Parker (3), McFarland, Baldwin and King. Deacon and Wyman relied for Cirencester.
Liden moved up the table following their 3-1 win over Croft. Liden's goals came from Watts, McKinley and Bridgeman. Kembrey scored Croft's consolation goal.
In the remaining under 12 fixture Westlea beat Westside 8-2 with goals from Bailey (4), Turner, Barrett and Gooden.
