A NIGHT out on the town ended in court after police found brothers Kevin and Stuart Lambert fighting at the roadside.
And younger brother Kevin was nursing a sore finger after it was bitten during a nightclub fracas earlier in the evening.
Olive Smith, prosecuting, told Swindon magistrates that police were called to Wallingford Close in Toothill at about 3am on November 25 after a member of the public reported two men fighting.
When officers arrived, she said, they saw the two men, aged 25 and 26, covered in blood and brawling.
As well as other cuts and grazes, she said Kevin was bleeding profusely from his left index finger which he claimed had been bitten by a man in the Eros nightclub earlier in the evening.
When the two men, who live together at Warneford Close, Toothill, were interviewed, Kevin, who defended himself, told officers that he had been thrown out of the club earlier after being involved in another fight and Steven said they often fought and could not remember what is was over.
Patricia Da Silva, chairman of the bench, told the brothers: "You are obviously used to fighting each other but because it was reported to the police it was distressing to someone. Next time you want to fight maybe you will stay indoors."
The magistrates fined each man £75 and ordered them to pay £55 costs between them.
