NURSERY staff saw double at a special party for twins.

Children aged from three weeks to three years old enjoyed themselves at the Toybox Junction Creche in the Great Western Outlet Village.

They are all members of the West Swindon Twins Club, which was formed in October.

Eleven sets of twins were paid a visit by Santa, who took a break from his rounds to give them a present each.

Charlotte Corfield, who runs the club, said: "We meet on the first and third Monday every month, and although we've not been going long we've already got 21 families coming.

"We aim to be a support group for parents of twins and triplets, where parents can come and chat through their problems.

"We have a health visitor, and, because we have children of a wide age range, we are able to offer first-hand advice to young parents in bringing up their children.

"It's a happy environment here, where mums can chat with a cup of tea and children can play.

"It isn't just mums that come here, dads are just as welcome, and we even have a couple of grandparents."

Kim Marvell, 28, of Ferndale, is the mother of twins Aaron and Bradley, both aged two years and three months.

She said: "We've been members of the club since it started this October, and we think it's great.

"Parents of twins do face double the work, but it's also double the fun.

"I like meeting people who have the same experiences as me and one thing it's especially good for is for children to learn social skills.

"My two were very shy but this has brough them out of their shells."
