Wootton Bassett's Jonathan Munton celebrated his 40th birthday in style with a dash to France in this year's Beaujolais Charity Challenge in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Mr Munton and navigator Paul Wyles, set off from Leeds Castle in Kent on November 14.
They drove their Silver Chesil Speedster to Macon in the Beaujolais region in France, in a bid to cover the distance by the shortest possible route.
The pair completed the Challenge in 458 miles before cracking open some bottles of Beaujolais and enjoying the region's traditional midnight celebrations.
"The Beaujolais run has always appealed to me as I love a challenge, especially if it's in a good cause," said Mr Munton.
"I could think of no better way of spending my 40th birthday than with a good friend and lots of fine wine."
The raised more than £1,500 to help support Great Ormond Street Hospital's work with sick children.
