Salisbury City 3 Moor Green 1: Paul Sales was Salisbury City's three-goal hero on Saturday when he helped his side to their first league win in ten weeks.
The striker put Whites ahead just before half time then added a second half brace to take his season's tally to 13.
The thought of going three points clear at the top of the table clearly motivated Birmingham-based Moor Green who had the better of Whites during the opening 30 minutes.
But Sales silenced the travelling fans when he headed home Tyronne Bowers' looping cross four minutes before the break.
Whites doubled their lead when Sales completed a fine move involving Jimmy Smith and Bowers. Smith won the ball and quickly found Bowers whose cross again alerted Sales's ever-attentive radar. He re-directed the ball over the line.
Sales's third goal was pure route one. Shuttlewood's long clearance was helped on by Smith to Shepherd whose shot proved too hot for the Moors 'keeper to hold and Sales made no mistake slotting home the rebound.
Moors' efforts were finally rewarded with Stanley heading in at the far post just 30 seconds after City's third.
