SANTA is on his way around the area from this evening as Devizes Lions Club takes its Christmas float round the streets and villages.
The float begins along Bath Road, dropping into Caen Hill Gardens, Mayenne Place, Salisbury Street, Avon Road, Beauclerc Street, Park View, High Lawn, Belle Vue Road, Waiblingen Way, Avon Terrace and Rotherstone.
Over the next two weeks, club members will visit every street in the town as well as the villages of Market Lavington, Potterne and Worton.
Tomorrow the Lions float will visit Hambleton Road, Kingfisher Drive, Naughton Avenue, Horton Avenue, Davies Drive, Wellington Drive and Ferozeshah Road.
Then, on Saturday, it will be at Steele Close, Proudman Road, Stockwell Road, Matilda Way, Tornio Close, Harebell Way, Cranesbill Road, Kingsmanor Wharf and Parkfields.
John Sutton, the Lions' press officer, said: "Father Christmas's float has now become an essential part of festive celebrations in the area."
