Lakes have been providing the bulk of catches over the last week with the Avon and Nadder both now coloured and back in flood again.
It is a pity there has been further rain because at the end of last week some good bags of dace, grayling and roach were beginning to come from the rivers as they fined down and dropped slightly in levels.
The Avon near the city's Leisure Centre produced bags around 9lb to 10lb a sitting, made up of dace and grayling while further downstream, roach around the 2lb mark have been taken as well as decent chub.
But Waldens Farm Fishery and Witherington Farm Fishery have been the main venues for anglers and both stillwaters came up trumps.
One of the week's surprising catches came from Salisbury AC's Petersfinger Lake where two anglers at the weekend caught 15 tench up to 4lb in two days fishing.
