A GROUP of volunteers will sleep in the streets tomorrow to raise money to help homeless people.
Around 20 people are expected to take part in this year's Sleepout event, which involves volunteers spending one night sleeping in the streets.
Organisers hope the people who spend the night in the street will raise money and awareness for those who are forced to sleep in the streets every night.
The event this year is being held in the car park of Immanuel United reformed Church in Upham Road.
The sleepout starts at 10pm and will finish at 8am the following morning.
Although people have already signed up and are collecting sponsorship money for the event, people are also welcome to turn up on the evening.
Anyone who wants to turn up on the evening, they are asked to take a sleeping bag, wear several layers of clothing, a sheet of plastic and a piece of cardboard. For more information ring Swindon 524461.
