THE shameful spate of Christmas thefts from old people goes on.
But residential home supervisor Rachel George, from whose car thieves stole gifts and food which she had bought for pensioners at the Laurels, should be commended for showing that some people still believe this is the season of goodwill. She's spending £90 of her own money to replace the items.
The thieves deserve to spend Christmas in a dank cell. Unfortu-nately they will probably have a riotous time at the expense of their victims.
However, we hope their greed doesn't spoil the festivities at the Laurels.
