Re: A Gap in the Argument, Wiltshire Times, December 1. Mr Butcher's letter on The Gap might well have been headed, "Always another way".
The good news, of course, is that existence of planning permission for something doesn't mean you are necessarily compelled to go ahead and build it!
Circumstances may, and frequently do, change.
Focusing on a situation often leads to a different view, maybe better. Mr Butcher has advanced one alternative, and there may be more.
My personal view is that filling in the Gap is a sledgehammer to crack a nut; capable of creating more problems than it solves.
