OFFICES will be created at Melksham Community Hospital to help with relocation of staff and to save money.
A flat, which was rented to new hospital staff for short periods of time, will be turned into an office for the Swindon and Wiltshire NHS Health Care Trust.
Spokesman Annmarie Carlen said: "Although the conversion to office space is set to cost £5,000, it offsets savings made from moving off another site."
The trust will save £60,000 per year if the plan for conversion is approved by West Wiltshire District Council.
Staff who will use the new office have been relocated from the St John's Hospital site, in Trowbridge.
The office will provide space for a health and safety advisor, specialist nurse and their support staff.
