DRIVER Sean Haughey reversed into another car parked in The Shires shopping centre car park, in Trowbridge, and drove off without exchanging details, a court heard.
Haughey, 50, of Hawcroft, Holt, near Trowbridge was involved in the incident in April.
He was charged with failure to report an accident and failure to stop after an accident. The second charge was withdrawn.
Prosecuting, Diane Walker said a Skoda car waiting in the Asda car park had been reversed into by an Astra, belonging to Haughey, which had been parked in a disabled space.
She said: "The driver spoke to him, but he replied he didn't care and the car should not have been parked there."
Mrs Walker said that when Haughey was interviewed by police he had admitted hitting a vehicle parked on double yellow lines.
She said he had not exchanged details because he said it was a car park and it was not his fault.
Trevor Line, defending, said the facts were not in dispute.
Magistrates fined Haughey £120, with £55 costs and gave him five penalty points, the minimum they could impose.
