THE PARTIAL demolition of one of Westbury's listed buildings was discussed at a meeting last week.
A retrospective application to demolish and reconstruct three first floor walls and the roof of William House, in Eden Vale Road was approved by district councillors at last Thursday's meeting of the southern area committee.
In a report from planning officers, English Heritage said it was regrettable the demolition had already taken place but they considered it important to finish the job for structural reasons.
In a statement from the agent involved in the William House project, councillors were informed that all the materials taken down in the demolition would be retained for the rebuilding process.
