Chippenham Ladies 5, Yeovil 2
A VERY positive start saw Chippenham take an early lead, with an open play goal scored by Nick Burrell. The second goal came from a short corner which was struck in by Tracy Hoffman.
Chippenham continued to play strongly. After a strong run up the right wing by Burrell the ball was crossed to Ali Trigg, who turned and scored a fantastic goal.
The same player scored a fantastic reverse stick goal after a great run from Tracy Hoffman and Sarah Stenner.
At the start of the second half Chippenham lost concentration which enabled Yeovil to get one back. Chippenham's fifth goal was scored in open play by Tracy Hoffman.
This was an all round superb performance which saw Chippenham back on form.
Sabrina Falcone gave a superb performance for her first game back.

Frome Ladies 1
CHIPPENHAM struggled to find their usual form and were down to an early goal from Frome.
Chippenham battled into the second half and evened up the scoreline thanks to fine run from Helen Dolman, an excellent cross by Sarah Harvey and the conversion by Wendy McKimming.
The winning goal came from a well worked short corner routine, converted by Sara Flint.
Chippenham's defence played strongly with great calling and motivation from captain Penny Hamilton.
Chippenham play Yate away this week in the last league game before Christmas.

Chippenham Ladies 3rds 3
MIDWAY through the season Chippenham 3rds are still unbeaten after this victory.
The first goal came just before half-time from a short corner routine, put away by Hiliary Coates.
Continued team work in the second half resulted in two more excellent goals, scored by Catherine Walker and Angie Brown.

Mendip Ladies 3
THE bad weather held off to allow the whole game to go ahead without a spot of rain.
Chippenham made a positive start in the first half and had most of the play, but failed to convert any of their goal-scoring opportunities.
Mendip made a more purposeful start in the second half and put Chippenham under persistent pressure, forcing three goals against stand-in goalkeeper Nicola Haynes who stood up bravely to the challenge.
Wootton Bassett Ladies 2,
Devizes Ladies 4
WOOTTON Bassett, previously unbeaten this season, anticipated stiff opposition from newly promoted Devizes in their League local derby at Dorcan.
Their misgivings were realised when Devizes scored two goals within ten minutes of the start.
The home side retaliated vigorously and were rewarded with a penalty stroke which Nicola Gardner calmly put away before half-time.
Devizes' third goal early in the second half spurred Bassett to greater efforts, and after many corners, a well worked pass to Steph Bignell on the right was driven home to reduce the deficit to 2-3.
Player of the match Sue Lee was unlucky not to equalise with a hard shot which clipped the edge of the post.
Devizes then showed their supremacy with swift, skillful teamwork which caught out the Bassett defence and added a fourth goal shortly before the final whistle.
Devizes' young goalkeeper played brilliantly to thwart Bassett.
