SANTA came early to Moredon Infants School for its Christmas fair.
Organised by the Friends of Moredon Infants School, formerly known as the PTA, the event was held to raise money for IT equipment the school needs, including a digital camera and scanner.
It raised more than £200 towards the appeal.
Headteacher Mrs Hilson praised parents for organising the successful event.
She said: "The children really enjoyed it, and the hall was packed with at least a hundred visitors.
"Santa paid a visit, and we had a wonderful cake sale to which many of the parents contributed some baking.
"An added bonus was seeing many of our former pupils in the junior school coming over to visit us again."
