Hellenic: Fairford Town's eyecatching fixture with neighbours High-worth Town was called off after frantic work by groundsman Albert Alder and colleagues failed to save the game.

A spokesman for the club said: "The middle of the pitch and both goalmouths were really boggy and the game was postponed mid morning."

Besides Supermarine's game there were just two other matches played in the Premier division.

At Wantage spectators were treated to a glut of goals, visitors Brackley Town running out winners 5-3.

Brackley's prolific scorer Ben Milner grabbed a hat-trick with Allen and Beckett adding further goals and for Wantage their top marksman Ben Spiero netted twice and Dorrian added a third.

Almondsbury Town gained a 2-1 win over Shortwood United thanks to strikes from Stannard and Backwell, Evans scoring for United.

In Division One West only one game survived the elements, second in the table Ardley United losing out to the third placed Headington Amateurs 3-2, four of the five goals coming in the second half.
