CONTRIBUTIONS have started to roll in for the 2000 Evening Adver-tiser Christmas Appeal.
But we still need more people to come forward with help if we are to make this a record-breaking year.
We have teamed up with Swindon Rotary Club to make this a brighter Christmas for needy children and the elderly.
The Rotary Club has been helping the most vulnerable groups in Swindon for 11 years during the festive period.
At the same time, the Evening Advertiser has helped thousands of disabled, disadvantaged and needy children with the Christmas toy appeal.
Last year for the first time we combined efforts into one appeal.
The result was impressive. Thanks to your help, we managed to collect bucket loads of toys and food hampers, together with £2,000 in cash donations.
This year we want to do even better to prove to the town's neediest folk that we really care.
All you have to do is take your toy or food donations to the toy appeal outlets listed on this page.
And, if you prefer to make a cash donation, simply fill in the coupon and send it in with a cheque or postal order.
This year for the first time, donations can also be made by internet. Simply log onto our website thisiswiltshire.co.uk and donate a minimum of £5 by entering your credit card details.
Tony Hill, appeal co-ordinator for Swindon Rotary Club, today thanked readers for supporting the appeal.
He said: "We want to help children at Christmas, but also give food parcels to the elderly to make it a special time for them."
