CHRIST Church was packed out for the second annual Christmas concert in aid of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
Before the service began, those taking part lit candles to remember children past, present and future.
The service was led by the curate of Christ Church, the Rev Guy Donegan, and an address was made by the Bishop of Swindon the Rt Rev Michael Doe.
Organiser Sue Hooper, from the NSPCC special events group, said: "The event was really well attended. This is the second time we have held a Christmas concert for the NSPCC and it was even better than last year because we had a nativity this time round.
"All the children in the choir and those taking part in the nativity play did really well.
"We collected about £380 for the NSPCC on the night, but it was not really about collecting for our charity, it was a service for the children."
Children's choirs from Holy Family Junior School and Crowdys School performed during the service and children from King William Street Primary School performed a nativity play.
A collection was taken by the Wanborough Brownies.
Guests on the night included town Mayor Arthur Archer and the Mayoress Doris.
