TOWN'S FA Cup reward for their second round thrashing of Gateshead is a home tie with Premiership side Coventry City.
Having put out two non-League sides so far, Gordon Strachan's outfit will provide Town with a much stiffer test.
Club skipper Alan Reeves said the draw did not frighten the players.
"I think they're beatable. The club might have wanted a big Premiership club away from home but they won't fancy coming here," he said.
The draw has also delighted Town chief executive Peter Rowe. He said: "It should be a great day at the County Ground. We wanted a plum tie and we have got one. Coventry won the cup in 1987 but they went out to a non-League club a year later. Let's hope it's our turn to be giant-killers on January 6."
Club officials were due to meet this morning to discuss arrangements for the third round clash.
Members of the Town Ender scheme and those supporters who attended the Gateshead clash will be given priority for the Coventry game.
