SWINDON Rugby Club had another satisfying weekend, with all three teams recording comfortable victories.
The first team returned to winning ways after two successive defeats, defeating basement boys Bletchley 25-3 at the Supermarine Ground.
Swindon started brightly, scoring four tries in the opening 25 minutes, but they failed to score again until five minutes before the end.
Tries came from Neil Maycock, Andy Prowse, skipper Andy Morley, and Nathan Waite with two.
None of these were converted because Swindon's principal kicker, Adam Westall, had switched his loyalties to Newbury earlier in the week.
Morley said: "It was frustrating that we didn't score more than we did after our great start, but we relaxed a little too much and let them back into it."
"In the end though, a win is a win and that's all that matters. We needed a victory to get back our confidence, and we must look to progress from here."
Swindon currently lie in fourth place in the Southern Counties North League, but have a game in hand over the leaders, which they should win.
The Second XV won 26-14 at Old Richians, and the Third XV beat Witney 40-0.
