A TEENAGER who ran off with one of her teachers has spoken of her plan to set up home with him near Swindon.

Katherine Baillie, 16, says she will join 33-year-old Paul Tramon-tini in a flat in Malmesbury once he has completed an 18-month sentence handed to him last week.

The teenager now lives with Tramon-tini's mother in Malmesbury and is looking forward to moving in to a flat in the town and marrying. Tramontini and Katherine prompted an international hunt when they disappeared. The saga ended last week when the teacher was jailed for abduction.

The youngster, however, said the that far from abducting her it was she who pursued him saying it was she who ran off first and Tramontini only followed her to protect her. Nothing was heard of the couple for more than a year until a postcard sent from Rome was received by Katherine's parents in Portsmouth.

The postcard turned out to be a decoy as it was sent by a friend of the pair, who were travelling in the UK. Tramontini turned himself over to police after 415 days.
