Bobby Zamora's 50th goal for Brighton was enough to put the Seagulls on top of the table. Zamora's 49th-minute header his 13th of the season brought a 1-0 home win over Port Vale.

Brentford's seven-match winning streak came to an end in a 3-2 defeat in a thriller with Stoke at the Britannia Stadium. Brynjar Gunnarsson headed the Potters in front after 32 minutes and Ben Burgess wiped out the advantage on the stroke of half time.
