Devizes Town's steady progress in the Premier Division continued, with a 3-1 triumph at neighbouring Westbury.

Nigel Curtis - who has been selected to play in the Western League representative squad - fired Brian Newlands' side into a seventh minute lead.

Wayne Wheeler briefly restored parity, but a sublime David Lloyd chip, and a late Nick Mooney strike ensured three points for the Nursteed Road outfit, who move to sixth in the table.

In Division One, Calne Town's misery continued after a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Clyst.

Meanwhile, Corsham Town have surged to fourth in Division One after another solid display on their travels. Mark Godley's men put on a professional show to triumph 2-0 at lowly Wellington.

Veteran John Freegard headed Corsham in front on the hour, and strike partner Matt Pratley hit a stunning second to seal the win.

n Melksham Town's FA Vase dream lives on, after a superb extra time win at AFC Totton.

Robbie Lardner's side who are now unbeaten in 12 booked their place in today's third round draw after Matty Messenger's extra-time strike secured a 2-1 victory.

The hosts took the lead on 54 minutes through Nigel Mortishead. Totton were quickly reduced to 10 men after player boss Lardner was hauled back when clean through.

Melksham capitalised on their man advantage, and Lardner was not to be denied ten minutes from time when he struck a deserved equaliser.

Town's pressure eventually told mid-way through the additional 30 minutes, when substitute Messenger fired home to ensure Melksham's safe passage.

"I'm delighted with the performance," said Lardner. "Totton are a good side, so it's a great result.

"I'd love to get a home draw against one of the lesser sides in the next round, but the way we're playing at the moment we won't fear anyone."
