It's enough to send a shiver down the spine of every defender in the Western Division Steve Tweddle is back!

Chippenham Town's super striker climbed off the bench on Saturday to hit the winner in the Bluebirds' 2-1 home victory over Bedworth United.

Tweddle who hit 49 goals last term has missed the majority of Town's Dr Martens campaign with a foot injury.

But the gifted 30-year-old marksman returned to the fray in some style, lashing home a 64th minute drive as if he'd never been away.

James Bent had fired the hosts into an early lead, but it was Bedworth who made all the running in the first 45.

The visitors were previously unbeaten on their travels this season, and they grabbed a deserved equaliser before the break, prompting manager Tommy Saunders to throw on Tweddle.

Chippenham are now second in the division, and will top the table if they win their game in hand over leaders Clevedon.
