A solid all-round performance from Chippenham saw them cement their lead at the top of South West Two East with an important 25-11 away win at title challengers Windsor.
The late withdrawal of centre Tom Crockett saw Reynolds move in from the wing with his place being taken by backs coach Dilwyn Richardson in his first game of the season.
Chippenham were the first side to score after 15 minutes, courtesy ofn with a superb solo try by wing Jocelyn Barnes, who jinked his way through a maze of defenders from 20 yards out.
Reynolds added a penalty kick soon after before skipper Scott Sherratt extended the visitors lead with a try from a sweeping three-quarter move which saw Reynolds and full-back, Grant Trewartha tear open the Windsor midfield.
Windsor narrow the scores with two penalty kicks before a period of Chippenham pressure on the try line saw ball moved wide quickly for Barnes to cross for his second try and a comfortable 20-6 lead at the break.
The second half proved more even with Windsor's powerful pack managing to slow down Chippenham ball.
They finally managed to cross the Chippenham line but, despite losing winger Richardson to the blood bin and no 8 Thornton to the sin-bin, Chippenham halted any fightback with lock Kenny Brown lurking on the wing to cross untouched to secure the points.
