LABOUR leader Sue Bates really has cooked her goose by refusing to join the Conservative and Liberal Democrat leaders in a forum to find areas of political consensus to solve the unprecedented financial difficulties facing Swindon Council.

It is hoped that more enlightened members of the Labour group will realise how much Sue Bates has let them down, and ensure that her place in the forum is taken by a senior Labour member who is prepared to forget party politics and assist in the cross party discussions to find a solution to the current problem.

Have they the courage to do it?
