AN outdoor ice rink will take pride of place in Canal Walk tomorrow, marking Swindon's Community Celebration Night and Evening Advertiser readers will be able to use it free of charge.
The synthetic rink, near Virgin Megastore, will be ready for action from 1pm and can accommodate up to 45 people at any one time.
There will be at least two supervisors present and skates will be available to borrow at the rink side. Simply cut out the coupon, which will appear in tomorrow's edition and take it along to the rink to ensure a free and fun spin on the ice up until 8pm. Tomorrow evening also offers the chance to make a little bit of history when carollers gather under the canopy at Debenhams in what is hoped to be the biggest ever carol concert in Swindon. Town centre manager Bernie Maguire believes the carol extravaganza should not to be missed.
He said: "This will be something that Swindon has never seen before. If everyone turns up and joins in, they could help make Christmas really special this year."
Swindon Brass and the Family Church choir from the Link Centre will be performing between 6pm and 8pm and members of the public are urged to show up and join in the fun.
