DETECTIVES are following up a number of leads, thanks to help from the public, after the Safeway store in Chippenham was raided by masked men.
The two men hit a security guard round the legs with a baseball bat as he and a colleague prepared to fill up cash machines at the store on November 5. They fled with a box containing £10,000.
On Monday eight police officers were at the store between 6.30am and 7.30am, in a bid to jog people's memories and appeal for witnesses.
DC Mark Kent, of Chippenham CID, said: "We were trying to catch witnesses who were going to the petrol station and the night staff coming to and from the store itself."
The incident happened in the early hours of the morning, and officers wanted to speak to people who were likely to have been there at the time and may have seen something and not realised it could help the police.
"We spoke to around 40 people," said DC Kent. "There are some leads and some inquiries we will be following up.
"Obviously there are two people out there with a box of cash and we are very keen to catch them."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Chippenham CID on (01249) 654455.
