HOW many of you would have swapped places with Danny Invincible at Blackpool?
Time's up and your team is losing. It's all or nothing as the referee points to the penalty spot.
Funnily enough, his miss immediately reminded me of the goal he lashed home against Peterborough.
I distinctly remember referring to Escape to Victory during my match report of that memorable game against Posh.
I think I said 'time stood still' a- la-Pele and his overhead kick in the film. Saturday was more like the scene right at the end where Sylvester Stallone is in goal and has to face a last minute penalty against the Germans.
Stallone was the hero by saving the kick, although I still cringe when I see him celebrate as I'm convinced he's going to chuck the ball in his own net.
However, the only thing to be said in Danny's favour was that the German bloke's kick was in slow motion and gave Stallone an easy save.
