MELKSHAM Town booked themselves an FA Vase third round date at home to United Counties Premier Division side St Neots Town with a fine 2-1 extra-time win at AFC Totton on Saturday 10 November.
Nigel Mottershead headed home to give the Jewson Wessex League promotion chasers a 54th minute lead but the hosts were reduced to ten men when a defender hauled back Melksham player-manager Robbie Lardner.
The veteran frontman then equalised with ten minutes left and substitute Matty Messenger clinched Melksham's place in the third round with the winner in the 104th minute.
Melksham manager Lardner was a happy man following his side's march to the third round.
He said: "It was excellent, just a good team effort. Fair play to the lads, they worked ever so hard and we were all chuffed to bits.
"It was important to get a home draw in the next round and on our day we can beat anybody."
The win stretched Melksham's unbeaten run to 11 matches, but they face an awesome assignment on Saturday 17 November when they return to Premier Division action with a visit to champions Taunton Town.
