PROUD great grandparents Frank and Ann Jackett from Calne, were among five generations of the Evans dynasty who celebrated a new arrival to the family last weekend.
Mr and Mrs Jackett were at the heart of the celebrations at the chapel of the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst.
Not only did Mrs Jackett have great granddaughter Alexandra Smith to watch over as she was baptised, but also her own parents, the baby's great great grandparents James Reading, 86, and his wife Olive, 81.
The family have many military connections. Mr Reading served in the Second World War and won a medal for his bravery.
His daughter, Mrs Jackett works at RAF Lyneham. His granddaughter Sam Smith, the baby's mother, met her husband Lance Corp Stewart Smith while working at the prestigious Sovereign's Commissioning Ball at the Academy.
And his granddaughter Eilidh Evans works in the Officers' Mess at Sandhurst, where her husband Keith is an RAF police officer.
"What a truly amazing day we had," said Mrs Jackett. "The family enjoyed wetting the baby's head in the magnificent surroundings at the Royal Military Academy.
