THE work of local artists is now on display at the Bluestone Gallery in Old Swan Yard, Devizes.
Guy and Janice Perkins set up the gallery in May last year, selling quality British hand-made ceramics, glass, designer jewellery and art. This is their second Christmas exhibition.
Mr Perkins, who is well known as a studio potter in Avebury, and his wife, have scoured the country for fine and unusual crafts.
One of the most fascinating objects is a piece by famous automaton-maker Robert Race. It is entitled Devizes Regatta: Winners of the Free-Style Moonraking. It features a longboat being rowed by Moonrakers with a sheep at the helm.
The gallery fosters the best of local talent and this exhibition features work by textile artist Margaret Roberts, from Devizes, and jeweller Fi Mehra.
Ms Roberts has a spectacular new landscape of Roundway Hill on display while Ms Mehra introduces her new range of pearl and silver jewellery.
The largest piece in the exhibition is a massive elm burr made by nationally renowned wood turner Dave Regester.
The work is three feet long and weighs around 40lbs.
