SWINDON Council's Mobile Media Club, based at cre8 Studios, is hosting a conference on new technology at the Oakfield Campus of the University of Bath in Swindon.
The event, on November 23 and 24 between 9.30am and 5pm, gives teachers, artists, educationalists and youth workers the opportunity to glimpse some of the many possibilities for learning via digital means.
Conference delegates will be joined by many quality practitioners from around the country who will present their experiences of working in this area.
Over the past two years, the lottery-funded Mobile Media Club has been taking the new technology into schools and community and youth groups to give young people a taste of the new technology, giving them the opportunity to make short films, animations and sound recordings which explore and record their experience of life, while at the same time being creative and great fun.
The Mobile Media Club is part of Swindon Borough Council's education and community service area and is supported by the Lottery, Intel and Swindon Arts Community Fund.
The fee for the conference is £30 (£20 concessions) for each day or £50 for both.
