MASTERPIECES by some of the world's greatest artists have been donated to three Swindon schools.
The set of framed reproductions will be on permanent display at the schools as part of Sainsbury's Pictures for Schools scheme.
Peter Blake's Children Reading Comics was presented to teachers and students, along with pieces by Hans Holbein, Joseph Wright and Joseph Turner earlier this week.
Churchfields School, Dorcan Technology College and Kingsdown School received the gifts from Sainsbury's representative Andy Stinchcombe.
Each school also received a teaching pack including notes, postcards and a BBC video.
The pictures are supposed to represent children and learning and were picked out by Sir Christopher Frayling, a rector at the Royal College of Art.
More than 1,000 schools will receive the paintings in this year's scheme.
