FORGOTTEN-man Juan Cobian still has faith that his nightly prayers will be answered.
The Town full-back has found himself out in the cold and revealed that Roy Evans has offered him the chance of a loan spell with another club.
Cobian is not surprised that some supporters have asked whether he is still at the club. But the little Argentinian wants fans to know that he is desperate to play and is not simply content with picking up his wages.
He said: "I pray every night that Roy Evans will pick me. Maybe I should pray a bit louder.
"Playing in the reserves is just a way of keeping your fitness up but I really hope my chance will come to play in the first team."
The full back has not figured on the bench for Roy Evans' side this season and this follows on from a disappointing campaign last year, which saw him start just three first team games in Division Two.
The former Boca Juniors man, who once played in the same team as Diego Maradona, admits it is no fun being stuck in the reserves, but he will not be throwing in the towel and demanding a move elsewhere.
However, he has hinted that a loan move would not be dismissed out of hand.
He said: "I want to play football. If the chance to play somewhere else for a spell came my way then I would think about it."
Cobian is now half way through his three-year deal and admits life at the County Ground has not exactly gone to plan.
He has seen David Duke claim the right wing-back slot and Cobian also faces competition from a fit again Mark Robinson and Welsh Under 19 international Chris Collins.
However, the defender loves Wiltshire, and his wife and young daughter are settled here.
The 25-year-old just wants the opportunity to kick-start his Town career.
He said: "I want to make it clear that money is not the main thing for me.
"I think a lot of people see foreign players as moaners.
"I am not like that. Sure, I am not happy at not playing, but I do not go around complaining to people about it all the time.
"The gaffer makes the decision about who plays and I have to convince him that I am the person he needs to pick."
Cobian said the kind support of fans had kept him going during these difficult times.
He said: "There was a piece in the last home programme from a 71-year-old fan.
"He said I had class and ought to get more games. That was nice.
"But he does not pick the team. I will keep giving it everything and sometimes your luck can change in football."
