The answers to two questions asked after the meeting in Marlborough town hall on November 6 may be of interest to those pondering a public appeal for Savernake Hospital.
Tony Beddow, the independent consultant, reckoned £500,000 would be enough to give the community at least some kind of stake in the development of the site. That's not to rule out £5 million but within the next six months a bargaining chip is going to be vital.
A younger Savernake Hospital Inquiry Fund Trust Mark 2 would certainly delight the hearts of SHIFT Mark 1. Not instead of, but nevertheless ensuring even more clout for, the new Start-up Group and eventual Standing Group of voluntary organisations launched in Marlborough Town Hall on November 6.
