SCREWFIX DIRECT LEAGUE: UNITED fell to a heavy defeat against First Division pace-setters Bath in the Les Phillips Cup.
The home side's pace and power were decisive and they coped better with the wind and rain. United missed the unavoidable Mark Pearce and Steve Perkins.
Bath raced into a two-goal lead, Keen scoring in the 10th minute as he followed up a Hobbs' shot that Mark Batters had saved and again five minutes later finishing from close range.
On the half-hour, Hockins played a poor pass back that gave keeper Bull no chance and gifted United an own goal. The half-time score was 2-1.
Bath took control after the break, Mackin hitting the bar before he was fouled in the box by Burton. Lee Burns scored the spot kick.
Two headers sealed Bath's victory. Micciche and Mackin giving Batters no chance on 76 and 83 minutes respectively before Micciche spoilt an otherwise fine performance with a reckless challenge that saw him get sent off.
United's consolation came from a penalty in injury time scored by Craig Doughty.
