Supermarine prepare to host Weston-super-Mare tomorrow, knowing that victory could lift them from the Western Division bottom spot for the first time since August.
A win at Hunts Copse would elevate the club above Cirencester, providing that Marine's relegation rivals lose at league leaders Clevedon.
Opponents Weston currently lie fifth, but are in some disarray at present after the shock recent sacking of long-serving boss John Relish.
The managerless Seagulls were also dumped out of the Dr Martens Cup by Cirencester on Tuesday, so now seems as good a time as any for Murphy's men to play them.
Chairman Steve Moore agrees. He said: "Although our relative league placings are obviously different, I think Weston, like ourselves, are going through something of a transitional period at the moment.
"I certainly think that it's a good time to play them."
Recent acquisitions Paul Donnelly and Nick Beaverstock are both expected to start in defensive midfield roles, ahead of a back three consisting of Pete Farrow, Steve Davis and Andy Jennings.
Matt Jack will return to the side after missing the midweek defeat at Merthyr Tydfil. The 22-year-old will reclaim the left-wing back slot.
Veteran midfielder Tom Jones should also return to the starting 11, freeing skipper Steve Bennett to play in a more advanced attacking role.
Likely Marine line-up: Haines, Roper, Jack, Farrow, Jennings, Davis, Jones, Donnelly, Hulbert, Bennett, Beaverstock
Chippenham Town host a strong Bilston outfit tomorrow in a reversal of the Bluebirds' opening game of the season.
Town enjoyed a fine 2-1 win that day, and Tommy Saunders' men could top the table should they complete the double over the Midlanders.
Chippenham go in to battle with a severely depleted midfield. Mark Harrington and Steve Brown are both set to miss out, after sustaining injuries in the midweek Dr Martens Cup defeat at Mangotsfield.
Recent signing Andy Catley will deputise on the left, despite lacking match fitness. Forward Matt Rawlins who scored the winner at Bilston back in August will occupy the wide-right berth, leaving James Bent to partner fit-again Steve Tweddle up front.
Manager Tommy Saunders expects a tough test tomorrow, but the Town boss is delighted with the start his side have made to life in the Dr Martens League. Saunders said: "Whatever happens, we are doing brilliantly in the league in our first season and if we continue to progress I will be happy."
Likely line-up: Mogg, Vickerman, Dicks, Andrews, Rudge, Woods, Catley, Charity, Tweddle, Rawlins, Bent
Cirencester face a daunting trip to Western Division leaders Clevedon tomorrow, and manager Ray Baverstock admits that the club are starting to feel the relegation heat.
"We desperately need to start picking up some points," said Baverstock.
"Supermarine are starting to close the gap on us at the bottom, and the pressure is beginning to mount."
Cirencester currently occupy one of the two relegation places along with Marine, and Baverstock's side are already six points from safety.
Baverstock said: "But we are optimistic, and will be going there to win."
The Ciren supremo will be without the services of the injured Nathan Holt and the suspended Andy Wollen, but Dave Gee is set to return to the side.
Meanwhile, Ciren have been drawn away to Mangotsfield in the second round of the Dr Martens Cup, much to Baverstock's dread.
"They are a bit of a bogey side for us," said the Ciren boss.
Probable team: Sawyer, Minturn, Richardson, Grange, Gee, Mayo, Clark, Horgan, Miller, Godley, Terry.
