A PENSIONER from Purton has been left heartbroken after burglars stole £3,500 of antique jewellery from her home.
Diamond-encrusted rings, gold bracelets and necklaces were taken in the burglary.
The 72-year-old victim, who lives alone, was out when the thieves broke into her home in the Dog Ridge area of Purton.
Two 25 carat gold rings encrusted with 16 diamonds, a 25 carat gold solitaire ring with a large diamond set on claws, a 25 carat gold ring with diamonds set in platinum and a marcasite necklace with diamonds, are among the heirlooms stolen in the theft on Monday.
