A SCHOOL in Trowbridge is one of only two in Wiltshire to join a project offering milk to all primary school children.
The newly-opened Mead School at Paxcroft Mead has opted to join the Cool Milk at School scheme, which offers free milk to all under fives and to older children at a cost of just 12 or 13 pence per day.
Headteacher, Lyssy Bolton, said: "I was the head at a school in Dorset before I came here and we used the Cool Milk scheme there, so I was keen that we were able to provide milk for all our children here, not just the under fives."
The scheme has been around since 1998 but is only just making inroads into Wiltshire.
