A COUPLE whose young daughter was saved by staff at Bath's Royal United Hospital have organised a fundraising campaign.
Lauren Booth was just six weeks old when she was rushed to hospital with meningitis. She was critically ill and stopped breathing. She spent three weeks in the hospital recovering from the potentially lethal disease.
Her parents Lisa-Jayne and Paul Booth, of Chippenham, set up an appeal in their daughter's name and pledged to raise as much as they could before Lauren's first birthday on March 19 next year.
The next fundraising event is a Christmas bazaar at the Neeld Hall in Chippenham on Saturday, December 8, between 10am and 4pm.
The money raised is being donated to the Forever Friends, to buy state-of-the-art equipment for the RUH's cancer, children, cardiology and critical care units.
The Lauren Booth appeal has already raised more than £2,600.
