SIXTH Sense, Swindon's professional theatre company, has recorded its highest ever number of bookings for a single production.
A new production of Aesop's Fables will be performed 65 times in schools, arts centres and theatres in Swindon and around the South West region from January to March 2002.
Sixth Sense has been working with Swindon Borough Council's Literacy Centre to maximise the impact of the production for schools.
Aesop's Fables will help teachers deliver key areas of the National Literacy Strategy and comes with educational support activities.
Benedict Eccles, artistic director, said: "The new dramatisation, by playwright Mark Hollander, incorpor-ates story telling, music, song, puppetry and comedy in Sixth Sense's best tradition of quality theatre for young audiences."
The fables will be at the Arts Centre in Devizes Road from February 14.
