Steam will be featured in a new TV series which goes behind the scenes with First Great Western.
The five part fly-on-the-wall documentary Railway Lives starts on HTV on Wednesday and shows real people doing tough jobs in today's railway industry.
Linking the present with the past, the series also features rare film footage, archive photographs as well as interviews with old railway workers from Swindon.
The former employees of the Great Western Railway and the Swindon works recall their days on the Penzance to London line and all were of them were put in touch with the series through their involvement with Steam.
Most of the interviews with the former railwaymen were filmed inside the museum.
The series historian for Railway Lives is Steam curator, Tim Bryan who said: "The coming of the Great Western Railway changed everything. Suddenly you could travel from Paddington to Cornwall in just a few hours.
"The coming of the railways was as revolutionary in their day as the internet is in ours.
"Railway Lives is a unique blend of social history and observational filming, creating a series that will make viewers think about an industry that touches all our lives."
Railway Lives will be on HTV on Wednesday at 7.30pm and continues every Tuesday.
