SWINDON'S mayor helped celebrate the first year of Fluffy Plastics, when he joined owner Emmy Butcher for a bounce on brightly coloured space hopper.
Coun David Cox was there to show his support for the successful small business, which is based in the Brunel Centre, and cut a celebratory cake to mark the event.
Since opening its doors last year, its strange assortment of weird and wonderful gifts has caught shoppers' imagination .
Seven months pregnant Emmy, 25, explained: "I suppose you could say we sell novelty items, that is the only way to describe it. We try to appeal mainly to women. We sell a lot of pink things, not to mention fluffy things."
To mark the event, shoppers were offered a slice of birthday cake and 15 per cent off all items.
