PENHILL: Tesco has congratulated 26 pupils from the post-16 unit at Uplands School, Penhill, who have won a Working Together award in the regional heats of the Tesco Our School Awards 2001. Uplands school is a secondary school for pupils with severe learning difficulties. A group of pupils embarked on a team enterprise project last year with the aim to providing a tuck trolley service for the school. The pupils organised regular meetings and conducted a survey to establish the most popular items of food and drink for the trolley. They helped buy and maintain the stock on a regular basis. The enterprising students beat hundreds of other hopefuls to the top and are now in a position to win a national award.
