An inquest on car crash victim Gary Pearce has been opened at Salisbury by Wiltshire Coroner David Masters.
Mr Pearce, 35, died when his Porsche was in collision with a BMW on the B4049 at Christian Malford, near Chippenham.
A post-mortem examination showed that Mr Pearce, of Station Road, Christian Malford, died from traumatic head injury.
After evidence of identification from his wife, Gina, the inquest was adjourned for two months for inquiries to be completed.
